Society We need roots~
a foundation of faith
on which to stand firm.
We also need branches
to reach across
to those needier than we.
We need to bend down,
give when we are blessed
with more than enough.
We cannot hoard in
our trunks that which we
are so graciously rewarded.
If we do, it will be
taken from us and given
to someone more deserving.
No, we must branch out into
our society, sharing our riches~
material and spiritual.
