Being Light In Darkness

Society The nighttime
brings out evil;
the devil lives in
the recessed minds
of society’s youth.
The binge drinking,
drugs, promiscuity:
all signs of how
sinister our world
has become.
But in order to see
the full effect
of the darkness,
the light must be
that much brighter.
It glows from within;
although I live where
immorality lurks
the flame keeps me
from faltering in sin.
