She wondered why he left her
Standing there and ran off
To his next conquest.
Did that make her a conquest as well?
Did he run away because he failed
In claiming her
Or because he did win in small ways?
He made her do things she was ashamed of
Making her an object
To be used for physical pleasure
Even if it ended
In emotional torture for her.
Did he once say no
And in doing so
Reveal he truly cared about her
And would do what was best
For her wellbeing
Not his selfish pursuits?
Not once.
And now she is alone
Trying to make sense of it all.
Silently she waits for closure
To find it is not hers to have.
