I wish I could have

The faith necessary

To walk on water

And not fear the waves.



These rocky seas are

Trying to drown me

But to trust the One

That reaches to save me.



Still all I hear are

the ocean’s taunts

Telling me that

I’ll never float.



I wish I could listen to

The man in the other boat

Who is whispering,

“Do not be afraid.”
