one less burden to bear
as I throw you down the drain
along with your reputation
for giving me euphoria.
No longer will you flow
through my veins nor
occupy my every thought.
The physical effects
of withdrawal will include
swollen eyes
(from too much crying)
and swollen veins
(from the deficiency of you).
The withdrawal effects from
the psychological addiction
will be more difficult to cope with,
but thankfully you just made it
that much easier for me.
