Spiritual You heard all of my
late-night ramblings
of how I would never
be able to measure up.
But when the dawn came,
You showed me
the beam of the truth~
that anything is possible.
You created a future when
I did not have enough
faith and insight to believe
I’d live past tonight.
You loved every part of me~
my broken mind,
my bruised body, and
my battered soul.
You protected me
against the evils
of this dark world
and my own demons.
And when hell broke lose,
You shone a light
strong enough to
make me burn for You.
