I once planted myself in rocky terrain
Where it didn’t matter how many seeds
I scattered on the ground because the
Rocks didn’t let me flourish and grow.
I once planted myself in unstable land
Where weeds soon spurted next to me.
They suffocated me and crowded me out;
I wasn't allowed to reap what I sowed.
I once planted myself in thorny ground
Where I was punctured and pricked,
And the thorns wouldn’t permit me to
Cultivate despite my desire to survive.
I then planted myself in fertile soil
Where my farmer tended me with care
And I could reap all of His blessings,
And here I was finally able to thrive.
