We dress ourselves in fake
Smiles and self-righteousness
And expect them to take
A hint from hypocrisy.
We hide behind our piety,
Condemning all to hell
When we were told to show
our scars and compassion.
How can we expect them
To take our testimony
Seriously when our lives
Are counterfeit inventions?
We’re adding to the noise;
We are the cacophony
Of a broken human race
Only losing more souls.
Maybe it would be best
If we just kept quiet
And let his overflowing
Love speak for itself.
