On this voyage, I have embarked,
A solitary sailor in the dark;
I'm navigating these rough seas
Relying on the gentle breeze
As I lose sight of the shore
Like mariners have done before.
But I'm afraid a strong force
Might make me drift off course.
Against me, waves are crashing;
In my boat, water is splashing,
And when I run into a squall,
I better make my distress call.
I pray to God when I am in fear,
And I am reminded: He is near.
It is only with His assistance
Land will appear in the distance.
For although I have sailed alone,
Only He can steer me safely home.
