Other Dedications It's hard to believe
That we've been friends
For ten years now.
We've been through so much.
We've had our share of ups
And downs.
What bound us,
Our common interests:
Singing Olsen twins songs
While skipping in the parking lot,
Salivating just at the thought of
'N Sync and Leo, and
Our infamous sleepovers
Playing Super Mario Bros.
Until all hours of the morning
Those things that almost tore us apart:
Friends coming between us
And that excuse I use
Of losing the convenience
Of seeing you every day at school.
Despite all of this,
I don't think I've ever mentioned it,
But you are an inspiration to me.
You fought adversity with
More strength than I've ever had.
You were so brave,
What with all you've been through,
And you always had a smile
On your face and that contagious laugh.
I feel very fortunate to have met you
And hope we can keep in touch
As we grow older.
I resent taking you for granted
These last few years,
And I hope we can go back
To how things used to be.
Who would have thought I'd meet
The best friend I'd ever have
At age ten?
