I've fallen for the fallacy
Of fleeting success,
How this gradual progress
Is strictly inconsequential,
My waning potential
Veils my worthlessness,
How my attempts
At improvement
Only result in failure
Because I cannot change.
I've contoured myself
To the geometry
Of my insignificance,
How my accomplishments
Resemble shapes
Without distinction,
How my efforts to get out
Of this shell I've contained
Myself in are feeble
Because I'm sealed shut.
I need someone to
Crack me open
And sort out the remnants,
How my skewed mentality
Exposes that I'm
Disconnected from reality.
But we will find in the pieces
A priceless pearl.
Once hidden away,
It reveals all my worth.
