You were divine,
But you humbled yourself
donning our mortal skin.
You wanted to relate to us
In a manner in which
Our simplistic minds could interpret.
You became one of us,
Dealing with temptation
Just like we do every day.
You died like we do,
In the most excruciating way
To show your deep love for us.
