Temporally numb
To the pain,
Their vision is blurred.
They do things
They will later regret
All in the name
Of forgetting the hurt.
They wake up from these
Drug-induced comas
Feeling worse
Than before.
They will tell you
They have found the cure,
But why are they
Still in so much pain?
