You invaded this heart of mine,

Trampled it with carelessness

And left me to collect the pieces.



The worst pain though came

From letting you walk away

As if I thought I deserved to be

Treated like I was nothing.



But I will not run after you,

I will not succumb to this spell

You’ve so masterly cast on me.



I walk in the opposite direction,

Into the arms of someone who

Will love me like you couldn’t,

Someone who will make me...



Their everything.
