Attracted to Light

Extended Metaphors I navigated my path by celestial illumination,
but when the space between us grew,
I became fascinated by artificial light.
I revolved around this manmade object~
when the outer light became too bright
and the darkness became much too lonely.
Though I was known as a nocturnal creature,
my instinct was to encircle whatever light
dared to penetrate my sight of vision.
