At Peace

No matter

The circumstances

I find myself in,

I will say “I am at peace.”

Despite the storms

Threatening

To drown me,

I will say “I am at peace.”

Although the enemy

Finds ways to

Anger me,

I will say “I am at peace.”

I am at peace

Because he fought for me;

He died a servant’s death

For my sake.

He hung my worry

Above Him on a cross

And nailed the coffin

Containing my sin closed.
