When they reach the hospital, they go to the main desk at the entrance. They ask for the room of Peter Williams. The redhead there says he is in 305, third floor.

They look for their father when they reach the room.

"The doctors haven't come out yet. I could have called you, but I did not want you to worry."

A doctor with a look on his face like he was trying to find someone, comes out before Robert gets to finish the sentence. He asks, "Are you, folks, relatives of Peter Williams?"

"Yes!" they all say in unison.

"Well, Peter is conscious; but we need him here for more tests to see what caused his heatstroke. If any of you have questions, you can ask me."

Evelyn looked at his nametag. It read Dr. Tom Morales. Tom went back in the hospital room.

A few minutes later a woman with short blond hair in a white coat identifying her as a doctor comes out of the same room.

The doctor says, "You can go in now."

They walk in. Peter is pale-faced and has blood-shot eyes. He looks up just in time to feel Evelyn's cold lips on his cheek.

"Dad, are you okay?" asks Evelyn's worried father. “I'm fine. No need to worry."

Jonathan and Tiffany looked at each other. Their grandfather was a very strong man through the death of his wife and now his sickness did not seem to bother him.

They talk awhile and about twenty minutes later Robert says "Tiff, Jon, and I are leaving now. Are you coming with us?" He turns to Evelyn waiting for an answer.

"No, I’ll stay." She looks like she is sure so they do not bother to ask.

Evelyn and her grandfather had a close relationship. She felt it was necessary to keep him company. In his retirement home, he had quite a few friends. He is the type that always has people around him.

She sits on a chair near Peter's bed. He is already snoring so she does not even bother to wake him up. She cuddles up with a pillow under her head and a blanket around her body. Within an hour, she falls asleep.
