I. Strings
An hourglass curved form
with inlaid freckled grain,
and strands of hair that
are strummed to the tune.
II. Woodwind
When playing different notes,
the music heard can vary;
fingers cover noise valves
to elicit the most beautiful song.
III. Brass
A mouthpiece placed against
lips just so and puckered,
hands slide in special ways
to change the range of sounds.
IV. Percussion
Legs clash together like
cymbals of sensual music;
skin is stretched over her
frame is rhythmically tapped.
