Biblical Inspiration God does not
always speak softly
in lullabies
and whispered answers
to our prayers.
Sometimes His voice thunders
to be heard
over the noise of life
that can deafen us.
Sometimes He must use
a bullhorn to amplify His voice;
while it stings the ears,
it may be the only way
we can hear Him.
Hurt and death
carry the highest decibels
and definitely provoke
a response although painful.
