A Jealous God

Spiritual God is envious
For all of our thoughts;
He wants to
Occupy our mind
Like an invited visitor.
We cannot have
Two residents
Vying for our attention
Because one will
Overstay his welcome.
And if it is God,
We will lose
The presence
Of a divine being
In place of Satan.
