At first I was numb to what happened. But then it starts to seep in. Until it hits me all at once.
This was the end of the world as I knew it. It’s like the aftermath of an earthquake. You don’t know if it’s safe to leave your house. You need the reassurance from some higher authority. Somehow, you can feel the utter destruction on your doorstep, the massive undertaking looming on the horizon.
But that doesn’t mean there won’t be aftershocks.
