Poems of a Liberty City Native As I stood in the doorway to the bedroom
Placing my left elbow by the panel on the side,
I started to think of what love shall bloom
And saw how really blessed I am, then I cried.
I did not only see you sleeping with the baby,
I saw just where I really wanted to be,
Because you're the answer to my prayer, lady,
And I know it now and what you mean to me.
You both make me the happiest man alive
And that night while you both were asleep,
I made the grandest promise to go strive
For the very best and be the man to keep.
All as I stood in the doorway to the bedroom...
