Poor Young Christopher

I recall you were asking for a friend,
And please let me impliment if I may;
Cannot find one on which to depend
When you go about it in the wrong way.

You have the heart that many don't,
But you cannot use it without a clue;
if you give in to what others always want,
You shall see that isn't anything you do.

One could purchase things so close,
But never intimate enough to a heart;
Money can buy a flower to your nose,
Yet it cannot get a friend to never part.

My poor friend, you have much to learn,
And only so little that you can see;
For your fortune is something you earn,
So remember you do not need it for me.

I shall the pal that asks not of your wealth,
Because my friendship  goes a long way;
You can keep all that money for yourself,
Especially if you need it for one day.
