I have been working harder each day
For this very special occasion
And darling, I really have to say,
That I am getting a tad impatient;
I've tried so much to make it all right;
Now is the time of recompense,
I want to make love to you all night;
Love says I won't just make some sense.

Take my hand, the hard hand
From one good year's labor;
Take my heart, the heart of your man
And let us do love this favor;
Hold me with those gentle arms tight;
Show me in regards to me who cares;
Let me kiss you from head to toe tonight;
Tell me in whispers that love still flares,
Because you're the only one for me;
Constantly, in my mind, heart, and soul,
I have nothing but endless love for thee;
I cannot help it if it's not in my control.

I cannot help myself when I do
Something weird like just stare,
Because you're my every dream come true
And I wonder if your love is still there;
Baby, you're more beautiful than ever;
So come over here and slide off your sandles;
Let's take off your lingerie together
After you blow out those candles.
