The Blask of Croydon was a small corner store. It had the usual corner store fare. You could get your candy bars or bottles of Dr. Pepper ore Mountain Dew. There were greeting cards, baseball cards and a bunch of other fun stuff. A lot of small minded neighbors warned me not to shop their after an Indian family bought out the original owners. Nothing in the store changed as far as I could see. They sold me cheap cigars at 16. I was also able to get rolling papers there. Oddly they wouldn’t sell me Hustler magazine until I was closer to 18. High Times was okay for a high school lad apparently.
