I don’t get out to the movies as often as I should but it can be fun. I usually enjoy the flick and the experience of being overwhelmed by the film on a big screen. It was always cool to catch Tarantino films in a theatre. He always had great soundtracks and the special effects were generally spot on.
I remember catching “Jackie Brown” in a downtown theatre in Washington D.C. The movie was fairly new at the time and the theatre was packed. It was a rather warm day outside so an air conditioned movie theatre was a grand place to be.

The audience was animated and a lot of the patrons were interacting freely with the actors on the screen. It was rather amusing to have a crowd so involved with the film. Everyone always knows what the characters should and shouldn’t do. I like one scene when Max Cherry was at Jackie Brown’s apartment. She plays a cassette of The Delfonics. I hear someone in the audience yelling out, “White boy gonna get some.” Most of the audience seemed to enjoy the commentary. He got almost as many laughs as Robert DeNiro or Samuel L. Jackson.
