I didn’t realize

she was only 33

I mean,

she liked me

she talked to me

and she wasn’t a hooker

she didn’t look old

by any stretch of the imagination

I just never gave it any thought

We were talking

and she was flirting

and I’m way too old

for any of this stuff

but it still does feel good

and maybe she knew

and was just being nice

that’s probably the  answer

but nevertheless

it was an afternoon chat

that made me feel good

and reminded me

that I do in fact

still have a pulse
