I watch her

bending over the table

so gracefully

and I paused

on my job

to savor

the moment

and gain

a full appreciation

of the view before me

I pause

for a moment

and observe

with peering, poetic vision

knowing my muses

will somehow

be inspired

in spite

of any possible

or impossible future liaisons
