But I play possum

or I make

like a chameleon

and blend into my surroundings

I integrate easily

into a new set of circumstances

and as I play out

these delusional hide and seek games

maneuvering unscathed

thru a multitude of situations

no longer patient to wait

for the rekindling of the flame

I frantically rub two sticks together

in hopes of inciting some sparks
