I never wrote

any letters to Bukowski;

never met him

I did meet Ginsberg

a few time

but never sent him

any letters

and now really

think/wish

that I ought have

but I don’t like

to impose my words

on others

kind of prefer

to let them happen

on their own

and let others

found out on their own

and I wouldn’t know

what to say

to these people anyway

and now they’re dead

but I think

well, Corso is still here

Ferlingjhetti and DiPrima

is still with us

but I probably won’t

write them letters

either

cause it just

 ain’t my nature

to be butting

into other people’s lives

I’m sure they got

trouble enough

from other folk already

they really don’t need

to be losing more time

dealing with

the likes of me
