Thinking long ball

and walking that line

none of it is easy

and you never were

naïve enough

to think it would be

suspicious

of the difficulty

always kinda

hung around

and hovered overhead

the porter

at the train station

is not as pleasant

as the porter

at the brewpub

an all things considered

the life of a leper

is not such a bad one

most of the ones

who avoid you

are ones you don’t need

to be around anyhow

just how did you

ever get so lucky?

The logic of time

took a turn

for the Dali

and you ended up

in a parallel universe

where things just

weren’t the same

and no one cared

about it anyway

just let the waters

wash away the sand

and to the sea

we shall all return

It is a dreary vision

but nonetheless

vision was necessary

and it was produced

and what you see

is what you get

so learn to live it

cause it is what it is
