Luxury of waste

Fat cats casting aside food

half eaten sandwiches

near full bottles of Pepsi

dropped into a waste basket

order an entrée

gleefully taking two bites

toss out leftovers

full meals down food disposal

rats and roaches take delight

souls falsely propped up

a charity event in town

the elite gather

to glorify their own greed

wallow in their crapulence

It is luxury

reckless wasting of good food

feckless indifference

It doesn’t make you better

It just might make you much worse
