Gonna sit

right down

and write me

a grand manifesto

I’m gonna become

one of the head honchos

in the community

and I’ll need

some dogma

and a little personal philosophy

to boot

gotta make

my presence felt

in every room

I ever enter

and I gotta make

it my own

whatever it is

for whatever it’s worth

and the words

will flow

and the stanzas

will develop

and it may

be good

or it may be bad

that’s not

for me to decide

I just have

to put it all down

and my words

are daily recorded

and that much

remains a certainty
