Tropicanalismo

                in Brazil

Tarantella

            in Venice

down by

the waterfront

                    docks

         I sought

           inspiration

      to rise me

          from my

      hidden despair

        but no angel

             rose to

               pluck me

        from the waters

I sat off

in

a

silent

trance

             I was

           quite

           unsure

what      my      next

    measure should be

    the dashed prospects

                    of

           immortality

     are no longer etched

         in my consciousness

Now I am

primarily interested

        in just

              surviving

and making it thru the mill

in my mortal existence.
