Usurped from my serene bubble
I am thrust into pitfalls of pestilence
as frustration and fear of failure rise
Tranquility absent-mindedly wanders
over the cliff onto jagged rock
swept away in salt water of sea
reason rationale disappears
I survive the fall
merely a few fractured bones
some internal bleeding
but I rise up in attempt
to claim victory
but it’s not so easy
as we trudge through eternity
every evening; every afternoon
we rise to darkness
and set down to light.
