Heartbroken (Poem for Mama Addie)
There is a lot I did not know about you even though I met you over the 8 years.
After you left us, I am hearing you were active in God’s work.
By the time, I have gotten know to you, you were old
in addition, I just thought you just seem like any other grandmother.
Now I know what you meant to people
and how you inspire others in your life.
You were a woman of God through your life.
The time I have to know you I watch you going downhill.
You were fighter
and you seem not to want to give up.
Now I wish I had time to know you better
I bet you have many stories to tell.
From what I have heard about you,
you were a great person that has a heart for God.
Even now you are still touching people’s life.
If I could only spend more time
and if I could have talk to you more
I would have seen what kind of person you were.
Mama Addie now your soul will rest eternally.
You will always be there with in our hearts.
We know you are in Heaven with Jesus
and you are watching us.
Mama Addie we will miss you
and we all know that one day we will join you in Heaven.
