As I listen to music

As I listen to music I drift away

and I close my eyes.

I drift off and imagine that you are here with me.

For that moment it is my heart is connecting to yours.

As I listen to music I close my eyes,

I dream that you are here with me.

For that moment I feel like that everything is right for me.

As I listen to music,

I start to drift away and you are here.

I open my eyes and I realize that I am alone.

I realize it is all a dream that I was in.

As I listen to music I am with you even through it is just a dream.

As I listen to music I close my eyes and drift away,

 you are there waiting for me.

Then the music stops I open my eyes

I just was dreaming away again.

As I listen to music for that moment I can at least pretend it is all real.
