In the forgotten days of history
Life used to hold mystery
when new lessons were learnt every day
and hard won was every victory
There were pools of knowledge to garner
and magic just around the corner
the feeling that nothing was impossible
and of destiny, we the sole owner
Today, that world has faded
or is it us who are jaded?
fallen we have in the rat race
that once seemed so degraded
Somewhere we lost that magic
and knowingly which is indeed tragic
bitten we are with the curse of knowledge
trapped in a world so pelagic
Bitter is the taste of victory
when all you are left with is history
and a future where nothing is impossible
and no such thing as mystery
