A twisted memory lane.

An explosion hit the ground, my senses nowhere to be found.

Nothing had seemed to make a sound, however the enviorment seemed no longer profound.

A bullet had flew past me, "its raining!" I exclaimed within a heartbeat.

I saw my friend nap on the ground, so I gave him a little tap to make sure he was safe and sound.

He responded with a muted "HELP" but I laughed and ran across the sand and thought "He's fine, he doesn't need a hand!"

Chlorine gas had hit the trenches, so I followed the others to sit on the benches.

I said "Gosh the park is so adventurous!" but was then cut short to the gasses terrifying, deadly quenches.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I have had no experiences in any wars, however i liked the idea of shellshock or PTSD giving a man childhood memories that could contrast with the current situation of war.
