The Beginning of the End

The Beginning of the End

Thousands of years ago the Gods decided that Earth was the perfect place for everyone to live. They imagine big fields with green trees, enormous mountains, and wide rivers. Full of vegetation and the most beautiful flowers.  So they went ahead and give the animals the only task of taking care of Earth. That’s how the perfect and sunny days began. In that time, animals were communicating with each other so they became a huge family that included every single one of them.

After years of living in peace, Bernard the dog, realize that the snakes weren’t happy anymore, they seem to start forming their own group getting away from the rest of the family.  So out of concern he looked for King, the lion, and share his thoughts. He told him that he was worried that the snakes were going to do something against them. He taught they were plotting something and that they would refuse to continue with their jobs. King disregarded his accusations and asked him to continue his task without worries. Still, Bernard wasn’t happy so he decided to go talk to his friend Larry, the horse. After a long talk they decided to gather enough of their brothers to face the snakes and offer them some help.

Meanwhile, the snakes had a secret gathering underground where they talked about how they were tired of following rules and doing their jobs. They wanted a new life where they could be free. So they created a plan to start “poisoning” the other animals. They wanted to corrupt them because they believed that they could have a new world under their ideas.

Bernard talked to Jake, leader of the snakes, and they agreed to call “The Family Meeting”. So they figure out that tomorrow at noon, would be perfect for all the animals to get together at the cave near the lake.

When they settled the date, the snakes quickly figure out they only had that night to start their plan. And so, when all the animals were sleeping, the group of snakes traveled through the whole place biting them and injecting them a poison that contained fear, anger and great amounts of rage.

That’s all it took for everything to change forever. That’s why, in the morning when everyone woke up, they felt different. They were angry at one another and started fighting.  Everything was at chaos. Animals were beginning to feel empty. They were lonely and fighting for food. Suddenly they couldn’t control their rage and some of them began to die. Bernard was so sad because he realized that he was right, this was all fault of the snakes, so he tried to talked sense into some of his closest brothers, but nothing seemed to help.

The Gods, realized that the animals were behaving in a way that they were not supposed to. They were destroying nature and themselves. The Gods were so disappointed that decided to send a huge asteroid to Earth. Hoping that everything would be destroyed and they could start over.

When Jake saw what was coming their way, he realized that the snakes got it all wrong and that fear and anger weren’t the solution but the beginning of the end. Finally the Earth exploded killing everyone and everything. Leaving the Gods with the job of cleaning everything and preparing a new world.

The moral of the story is: That we should avoid people that like the snakes are bad influences on us. Also that it’s important to always be good and follow the rules even if it’s hard because it’s for the greater good.
