The sign on the wall
inside the restroom
advised people
to “Evacuate your bowels”
and the non-American,
non-anglo staff couldn’t grasp
why this was so funny.
I never thought
of myself as a magician
but that would be
a mighty fine stunt.
Although, in truth,
that is what it feels like
on an awful lot of flights.
