The festival was fun

but the security

was overbearing and oppressive (quick wink).

I was trying to enter

the festival site

when the security guard

pulled something out of my backpack

and said

“You’re not supposed to have this.”

Then she gently put it

back into my backpack

and said

Ï’m not gonna take it from you.”

So my contraband

wasn’t confiscated

but she did admonish me

to think about what I done.

and I did 

dutifully reflect

on what I had done 

during each musical act

the entire weekend.
