They came from the sky
THEY CAME FROM THE SKY
The sun came up that morning over an Earth that was devastated. All of the buildings had crumbled to the ground, all of the lakes, rivers, and oceans had dried up, and all of the people were gone. On a lonely, flat, endless plain you could see a lone horse walking in the distance. The horse walked over hard sand and dirt. All grass, trees, and plants were gone. Also in the distance, far away from the horse, there was a lone Saint Bernard dog walking in the distance. The dog was injured and limped. The horse and dog approached each other. “Are you hurt badly?” asked the horse; just some scratches the dog replied. “What has happened to you?”- “if I tell you are not going to believe me”, the dog said in a very serious way. “I will believe you so please tell me” the horse insisted. “Well… do you really know what happened to the earth?”. “No” the horse answer “I just know that something came from the sky and then everything was gone”. “that is only a part of what happened, the complete story is that They came and took everything what they wanted, and destroy the rest”. “What are you talking about? Who are They?” the horse confused asked. “They are the ones that came from the sky”. “How do you know that?” the horse said. “I was there when it happened and they took my family, after They torture me I had the opportunity and I escaped, but I have to go back and rescue my family, would you help me? I cannot do it by myself”. “what if They catch us? the horse said in a scary way. “I have to take the risk, no matter what happen”. “what would you do if you were in my place”. “if I were in your place I would do the same”. They walked miles and miles until they get to the dogs house. When they arrived they saw the house completely destroyed and they found strange footprints leading to the forest. The horse didn’t want to go on, because he was very afraid of the mysteries of the woods. The dog told him “don’t be afraid, everything is going to be ok, I’m gonna be there”. They came into the forest, but they felt something was chasing them and they started running. They saw a light in the middle of the forest and they decided to get closer to find out what it was. When they were close enough they saw the shadow of the family, and they try to get closer to see them better, when they were right in front of them they could see they were dead. In that moment the creature which was following them caught them. Immediately the dog woke up, it was only a bad dream. Since that day he learned to appreciate more his family and to show his love because he realized they could be gone in any moment.
