Cynical thoughts and emotional gain
manipulate hearts and emotional pain.

Music of seemingly perfect embrace
smile of seemingly immovable grace
Hiding a skeptic without a just cause
passionate kisses despite all her flaws.

Tip toe around on an ocean of pins
Never face up to an ocean of sins
Tying a knot on a string of lies
Perpetual link to a likely disguise.

Hoping and playing and
endlessly praying to the
silk on the carpet that's endlessly fraying, and
life on a raft that is endlessly swaying cause
no one can hear what she's endlessly saying.

Stop calling me pretty
Stop calling me perfect
Stop calling my smile the light in the sun.

Stop calling my passion for things all around me
an asset to hold, and to always let free
Stop asking me questions
I'm spitting out answers
Stop looking at me like I'm one of the dancers
Stop saying I'm great, and I hold it together,
My heart isn't really as light as a feather.
Stop making me scream, I don't want all this friction
I'm not just an actress in all of this fiction

My heart isn't in it, my answers are few
Maybe that's why I'm the one that flew.
I'm running in circles, and just need a rest
