Diamond Thread

I'm swinging by a thread,
Into my chest its strewn,
Try to climb up,
As my hands bleed out.

Where are you?
Tugging this
string of diamonds
Probably don't realize.

That I'm slave to you,
You walk freely,
And I get pulled along,
Tear, rip, let me stand.

I forget you're there,
I mind my business,
Until the strings play,
and the piano sings.

It pulls me down,
Unexpectedly,
It wont kill me,
I don't want it to.

But I'm not free,
It's threaded into
My very fiber,
My essence.

Years ago,
It was ours,
Years ago,
It was us.

And then when I'm
a dark hollow monster,
large, hulking,
lurching and creeping.

It pulls again,
And from it,
I burst forth,
Bleeding still.

Every emotion,
Running deep,
Shatter the complete
Emotionless.

Notice me, sometime,
In my dreams,
When you come back,
And that's when;

When you rip out
Our hearts and
Place them together,
And thread them back,

With the Diamond Thread.

I guess my muse is the same as it will be.
