born as military brat
But that didn't last
you stole from the government
Then ratted out your friends
just to save your benefits
Where is the honor in that
You had a chance to be a dad
You chose violence over family
you cheated on her and made her watch
You wasn't a dad
You were hardly around
A weekend visit when you felt like it
Your kids were never enough
I wanted a dad around
but you was always too busy
mama working two jobs
to make ends meet
while you had it easy
i went through hell
with three different dad's and each for a different reason
My momma had to leave me
but it wasn't her fault
it was her time to go
your suppose to help me stand
not knock me down on my ass
when i needed you that day
right after mom passed away
a father is suppose to love his children
not toss them out in the storm or create one
I'm trying to forgive you
I'm trying to understand
I'm trying to move forward
The pain still haunts me to this day
You weren't a father, even when I needed it the most
