On the water again today
When the turtles are nowhere to be seen
There are alligators around
The big eyes poking up out of the tiny lillies
He finally saw me
Made a big splash
Opened the door with my key
Ah, the air condition
Feels so good
But so does the warm porch
Overlooking the mansions on the Tchefuncte River
I often wonder if I know the people who live in them
I love it out here
Counting turtle heads
Wanting so bad to make this my home
A few love bugs seem to be out
Taking clay inventory
Seeing what I have
And what I can plan for in the coming weeks
