Why do I check my phone constantly
Hoping for a word from you?
When I receive a text, I jump to see who it is;
I know it's in vain; I know we're through.
Then why?...
Because the only thing that hurts worse than talking to you
Is not talking to you.
And the only thing worse than seeing you
Is not seeing you.
So my disconsolate heart will forever yearn,
Waiting in vain for a word from you.
