I am Me.
A teammate,
A musican,
A bookworm,
A friend,
A hopeless romantic.
These things define parts of Me,
but its not fully me.
The world sees in black and white but i see in all different shades.
You can't judge a person based on what you see.
I know it, have experienced it, and have done it to others.
The obnoxious girl in class doesn't get any attention at home.
The mean guy has a bad self image.
That nerd that gets shoved in the halls; he studies, locked in his room by his step-father.
And the girl with bad grades, she's dyslexic and struggles reading what we think is easy.
What people say of Me can hurt.
I've been called names because of what I stand for.
My purity ring is cause enough for people to poke fun.
I wear glasses and love reading.
What I've learned though is that if a friend judges Me based on what others think,
They're no friend of mine.
I have real friends that love the real Me unconditionally.
