I thought I saw a tear

fall from your eyes

as you try to hide

all you're feeling inside

I wonder how many tears

your pillow has wiped away

when you cry at night

as you fall to the floor and pray

I thought I heard

your voice filled with pain

as your tears fall

and pour out like rain

I want you to know

that I am here

and will wipe away

every single tear

I long to see you smile

and hear you laugh again

but all I see right now

is you playing pretend

so come here

and let me hold you

and wipe away your tears

and help you get through

you don't have to hide

your tears from me anymore

cause you can cry on my shoulder

that is what I am here for
